Out of courtesy, we’d like to explain here that we asked this New York based training company (Finance Manager Training, FMT, 6 N Main St, Suite 320B, Fairport, NY 14450) that specialized in training automotive F&I Managers through basic self-study CD and online basic courses, to explain to us how they have managed to incorporate AI (artificial intelligence) in their so-called “AI role-play training tool”. Since we have an entire section in AutoNewsDigest.com devoted to innovation and AI, we wanted to help promote their new product (if it is for real). They have completely ignored our emails, and simply replied in our comments/post: “It’s patent-pending technology will be available in the future”. This is disingenuous to say the least. Even a monkey can file a “patent-pending” for $65-$250 and it proves nothing. It seems that they are lying and don’t have any AI technology of any sorts, certainly nothing we would call AI (neural machine learning adaptive predictive coding). Hence, they are using AI as a marketing gimmick to attract unsuspecting students so they can sell them their basic CD and online stuff. We hope they are willing to prove us wrong, and contribute to the world of automation innovation with something other than bluffing, exaggerating, misrepresenting, and trying to cash-in on a terminology that currently has people excited. We’ll see if they offer any substance.

It can summon your car, play music, book you a table and even knows what’s in your fridge. It can arrange business trips, keeps schedules, and does even tasks performed by personal assistants (all digital tasks of course).
